Firstly, we hope you are well. This is a little note about how we hope to help each other in this time of anxiety around COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Help If you are self-isolating, and would like any help (eg with getting shopping or prescriptions) or simply would like to talk to somebody, please get in touch (01620 811193). We have a team of people happy to help. Equally, if you would like to help our neighbours at this time, please also let me know. We are working closely with the Community Councils in this regard. Services Our services are available on our websites on Sunday morning, for you to follow if you wish. Sound recordings of the services are available on CD - if you would like to receive one, please get in touch with me or Paul Sales (01620 811260). Events All of our planned events and meetings have now been postponed until the situation improves. Helping more widely If you do go to the shops, please consider getting an extra item for East Lothian Foodbank, who are struggling at this time to provide for those in need. Collection trolleys can for example be found in Tesco in Haddington. We hope this is helpful - please do get in touch if you need any help and support. Best wishes, Anikó
We are invited to respond to the initial options and propose any others we would like considered, over the next few weeks. The timescale is very tight. To help us in this process, we'd like to hear the views of the congregation and the wider community, and invite you to join us for a consultation meeting on Thursday, 12 March, 7.30pm, in Humbie Village Hall.
This consultation is open to all who are interested, whether or not you are a member of the church, and we would warmly welcome views from within the church congregation, and the wider community. If you are unable to come along, you are also welcome to send us your views in writing, or to speak to Liz or Anikó. |
